Principle of action:

The low-viscosity “Silitrocken” solution is brought into the pre-drilled openings and penetrates all cracks and capillaries in their vicinity. All horizontal bores are connected together in the masonry and form a compact layer. The hydrophobic (water-repellent) effect prevents water penetration from the floor. The masonry over the injection begins to dry out.

 Wall preparation:

The loose plaster is removed from the walls and the joints are partially scraped out. The drilling is carried out obliquely at an angle of 20 ° to 40 °. The diameter of openings is 14 to 16 mm at a distance of approx. 10 cm and at a depth of approx. 2/3 of the wall thickness. Dust is extracted from the openings.

Possibly. Cavities in the masonry must be filled with cement mortar before starting the injection.

The injection solution is slowly refilled into the openings with the help of "injection funnels" until no more liquid is absorbed and must be carried out in such a way that the solution does not dry out, otherwise the hydrophobic effect also acts on your own injection solution. The whole thing can take several days.

Important: Cover all neighboring areas urgently - the "Silitrocken" product leaves stains that are difficult to remove.

Completion of work:

If no more liquid is absorbed, the drill holes are closed with sealing slurry.

Consumption:

The consumption is quite different and depends on the quality of the masonry, its type, porosity, and water content.

Average consumption is 6 L / ldm (with wall thickness 40 cm)



System efficiency

Experience of injecting in this way is very good, but it is necessary to note that drying out moisture during injection is a very slow process. It is noticeable after 6 months at the earliest.

The injection is only effective against the rising moisture, but not against the water penetrating from the roof, the eaves or the rainwater that is expelled.
